He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jackson Hampton and Effie Mae Patterson Hampton; his wife Betty Voyles; his siblings, Francesca Hamlett and Johnnie Hampton; and his sons-in-law, Craig Scobey and Thomas Haley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Corlis Haley and Paula Scobey of New Madrid, MO.; his stepsons, Robert Voyles, Ronald Voyles and Richard Voyles of Decatur, IL.; his brother Jack Hampton of Kelso, MO.; his grandsons, William Scobey of Matthews, MO and Christopher Scobey (Ashleigh) of Clovis, NM.; and his great grandchildren, Landyn Scobey, Kristina Scobey, Autumn Scobey and Aubree Scobey.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Richards Funeral Home Inc. (436 Main St, New Madrid, MO 63869). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
