It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wescoat of New Madrid, Missouri, born in Sikeston, Missouri, who passed away on March 24, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Lewis Wescoat and Seibert O'Bannon Wescoat; and his siblings, James Curtis "Buck" Wescoat, Virgie "Lady" Lawfield, Virgil Seibert "White" Wescoat, Ruth Phillips, Betty Clark, Shirley Broughton and Joan Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Faulkner Wescoat; his grandchildren, Lofton Hayes (Kelsey), Mary Clara Hayes, Andrew Cooper, Elaine Wescoat, Emmie Wescoat, Carson Cooper, Jack Wescoat and Simon Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Drake and Clara May Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Legacy Hospice of Kennett, 607 Billington, Kennett, MO 63857 or St. Jude Children's Hospital or New Madrid Immaculate Conception School.
