He was predeceased by: his parent Andrew Jackson; and his siblings, Lena Carol, Norma Jean, Ralph, Bub, Russell, Alfred and Mack.
He is survived by: his parent Lena Keene Higgerson; his spouse Judy Akins; his daughter-in-law Johnnie Mack Higgerson of New Madrid; his daughter Candy Henry of New Madrid; his son-in-law Chris Henry of New Madrid; his brother Cecil Higgerson of Indiana; his grandchildren, Mollie, Gerriann (Josh), Kristen, Howard, Trey, Owen and Emily; and also, Southwestern Bell Telephone Co, Howard and Paula Higgerson Jr. of New Madrid.
