He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Smart and Minerva Smart (Wright); and his daughter Janice Williams. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Williams Smart; his children, Edna Williams, Minerva Walker of New Madrid, Leann Mosby of St Louis and Eric Williams of Kansas City; and his siblings, Lyman Smart of Lilbourn and Doris Miles of Elkhart.
