He is survived by: his brothers, Roy Franklin Ward and Lloyd Sharon Ward; his wife Rose Ward of New Madrid; his son William Earl Ward; his daughters-in-law, Ginny M. Ward of Cedar Grove and Kathy Ward of Cedar Grove, Tenn.; his daughter Paula Higgerson; his son-in-law Howard B Higgerson of New Madrid; his siblings, Linda Ward Carter of Denmark, Tenn, Sandra Ward Pafford of Denmark, Tenn and James Emmett Ward of Jackson, Tenn.; and his sister-in-law Linda (David Keith) of Paris, Tenn..
