She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Kizer and Sylvia Kizer (Tapley); her daughter Erin Brooks; and her siblings, Wayne Kizer, Ed Kizer, Dean Kizer, Rich Kizer and Nancy Ziegler.

She is survived by: her husband Everett Brooks of New London, MO; her children, Evan Brooks (Rita), Darren Brooks and Heather McGuire (John "Beaver") of Hannibal, MO; her grandchildren, Michael Brooks (Beth McCaw), Megan Branham (Bradley), Andrew Stolberg (Chelsea), Maryn McGuire and Preston McGuire; her great grandchildren, Trinity Brooks and Cillian Stolberg; and her sister-in-law Elaine Kizer of Russellville, AR. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
