She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Pruessner and Rose A. Pruessner (Schroeder); her husband Oscar E. Birkmann, Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Jerry Parmentier and Ray Frick.

She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Kleinheider (Kevin) of New Haven, Missouri, Rhonda Chwascinski (Duane) of New Haven, Missouri and Linda Crowe (James) of Hermann, Missouri; and her siblings, Delmar Pruessner (Margie) of Union, Jenell Parmentier of Union, Missouri and Betty Frick of New Haven, Missouri.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
