She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Walkenhorst and Martha Walkenhorst (Sievers); her former husband Carl Oberdieck; her husband Martin Niewald; her daughter-in-law Joyce Oberdieck; and her siblings, Elda Vohs and Harold Walkenhorst.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Scheer (Larry) of New Haven, Missouri, Linda Kaskadden (Kenneth) of Hermann, Missouri, Katherine Weiser (Tim) of Rosebud, Missouri and Dennis Oberdieck; and her stepdaughter Dottie Niewald of Lexington. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren & spouses, 3 step granddaughters & spouses, 18 great grandchildren & 5 step grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or New Haven Care Center.
