She was predeceased by: her father Frederick "Bud" Backes; and her brother-in-law James Hoemann. She is survived by: her mother Carroll Backes (Quick) of New Haven; her husband Steve Tanner of New Haven; her sons, Jonathan Bloch of New Haven, Tyler Bloch (Sarah) of New Haven and Austin Bloch (Tara) of Wentzville, Missouri; her stepsons, Kevin of St. Peters, Missouri, Aaron of St. Peters, Missouri and Ethan Tanner of St. Peters, Missouri; her grandchildren, Johnna, Jackson, Adalaine, Henry and Braxton; and her siblings, Jackie Weidle (Larry) of New Haven, Sharon Althen (James) of New Haven, Kim Hoemann of New Haven, Kelly Toelke (Robert) of New Haven and Scott Backes (Jackie) of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be given to New Haven Community Outreach or New Haven Garden Club.
