He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Burks (Nellie) and Nellie Burks; and his siblings, Jesse Burks, Donna Burks and Edna Treece.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Debbie Wehmeyer of New Haven; his children, Paul Burks Jr. of Catawissa, Jason Burks (Ashley) of Potosi, Samantha Lenox (Jessica Murphy) of O'Fallon, IL and Sarah Lenox (Justin) of Bourbon; his stepsons, Eugene Wehmeyer (Rosie) of Hermann, Jeff Wehmeyer (Chelsi) of Swiss and Michael Wehmeyer (Latrica) of O'Fallon, MO; and his siblings, Lorraine Huntsman of St. Clair, Jim Burks of Mobile, AL, Angie Foushee (Kevin) of Florida and Mary Patterson (Mark) of Arkansas. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are preferred.
