He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Istvan Takacs and Ida Takacs (Muha); his sister Terez Csuka (Takacs) of Hungary; his children, Paul Takacs (Cathy Takacs), Elaine Takacs (Richard Ratliff) and Louis Takacs (Katelijne Schrama) of Amsterdam, Netherlands; his grandchildren, Nicholas Takacs (Jenna Takacs), Daniel, Gregory, Emily, Jillian Takacs, John Ratliff and Maia Takacs of Amsterdam; his great grandchild Lucille; his great-aunt Helen Kralina (Muha); and his wife Janet Keroly.
Memorials may be given to Assumption Church or to a charity of one's choice.
