It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Hecktor of New Haven, Missouri, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Hecktor and Della Hecktor (Jany); his son John Hecktor (Butch); his grandson Adam Jacquin; and his great grandchild Hope King.
He is survived by: his wife LaVerne (Hellmann); his children, Sharon Monzyk (Dan), Meg Jacquin Beaufort (Alan), Jane Jakins (George) of Ocean Spring, MS, Barbara Aholt (Dale), JoAnn Noelker (Bob) of Chesterfield, James Hecktor (Debbie) of New Haven and David Hecktor (Donna) of Washington; his siblings, Paul Hecktor (Sue), Gladys Menke of Margate, FL, Mary Heimann (Louis) of Washington, Patricia Gildehaus (Jerome) of Washington, Wilma Ridder of Washington, Theresa Gildehaus (Elvin) of Washington, Alice Brinker (Lester) of Washington, Doris Schmitt (Dennis) of Washington and Linda Voss (Andy) of Washington; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Louise Hellmann of Villa Ridge and Roslyn Vondera of Villa Ridge. He is also survived by 22 Grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, 3 more great grandchildren on the way. 45 nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID, visitation will be private.
Memorial donations may be given to Assumption Catholic Church, New Haven, Mo or masses, c/o Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
