He is survived by: his children, James Helms, Jr. of Union, Shawn Helms of Shell Knob, Elisha Stout (Michael) of Catawissa, Kimberly Kallbrier (Sean) of New Haven and Edna Tanksley (Matt) of Owensville; and his siblings, Jesse Helms of Monrovia, CA., Richard "Dickey" Helms, Jr. of Hermann, Rose Buhr (Mitch) of Washington, Sharon Kobusch (Dennis) of Grandview and Linda Mattaline of Owensville. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seventeen nieces and nephews; thirty-nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
