She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. H. W. Niewald and Flora Niewald (Schwearmann); her husband Vernon W. Scheer; and her siblings, Laura Elgert, Don, Leonard and Earl Niewald.
She is survived by: her children, David Scheer of Union, Missouri, Ruth Steinhoff (Ray) of New Haven, Missouri, John Scheer (Sharon) of New Haven, Missouri, Tim Scheer (Michele) of New Haven, Missouri and Jim Scheer (Angie) of New Haven, Missouri; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Niewald of Springfield, Missouri and Larry Scheer (Carolyn) of New Haven, Missouri. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
