He was predeceased by: his mother Melba Chitwood; and his siblings, Ed, Stan, Liary, Linda and Gertie.
He is survived by: his wife Charlott Chitwood (Bennett) of New Haven; and his sons, Steven Chitwood of Ellisville, Missouri and Wade Chitwood of Seattle. He is also survived by three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home (1053 Hwy C, New Haven, MO 63068). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to St. Peter's U.C.C., Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
