He is survived by: his wife Sharon Thomas; his children, Robert Hooton of Lees Summit, Deborah Rhodes of New Franklin and Angela Simons of Ashland, Missouri; and his siblings, Russell, William Hooton and Katherine Edwards. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
