She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Johnson and Eva Wright Johnson; her son Michael Griffith; and her brothers, Virgil and Aaron Johnson.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Morgan; her daughter Andrea Vanover; her sisters, Janice Cramer and Kathy Rousselle; and her grandchildren, Johnathan, Janice and Chandra Griffith. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
