He was predeceased by: his parents, Darce W. Owens and Viola Owens (Sullens); and his brother Stanley Gene Owens. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Owens of Mexico and Travis Owens (Amelia) of Jefferson City; his girlfriend Marlene Remington; his brothers, James "Jim" Robert Owens (Darlene) of Holts Summit, Jerry Lee Owens of Jefferson City, Larry Dean Owens (Rose) of Jefferson City, Gary Wayne Owens (Sheila) of Holts Summit and Steven David Owens (Linda) of Jefferson City; his sister-in-law Faye Owens of Lynn Haven, Florida; his granddaughter Mackenzie Shutt; and his stepgranddaughter Chloe Walker.
