He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert Underwood and Mary Orlena Underwood (McNeal); his wife Joyce Underwood (Holzhauser); and his sisters, Mary Jo Powell and Betty Sue Geoffroy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Philbert of Fulton and Leigh Love (Rob) of New Bloomfield; his siblings, James Underwood (Carol) of Holts Summit, Janice Winer of Holts Summit, Rebecca Stewart of Jefferson City, Brenda Custard (Bob) and Rita Nichols (Gene) of New Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Miranda Fishback (Tyler), Clark Philbert, Abbie Romph and Lena Lane (Tucker); and his great grandchildren, Cash Fishback, Arya Romph, Hazel Fishback and Lynleigh Lane.
