He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schalasky and Marie Schalasky (Zasadzinkski); his brothers, Richard Brewer, Ted "Peanuts" Brewer and Joe Schalasky; his grandson Lucas Davis; and his great grandchild Noah Cunningham.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Burton; his children, Renee Goldsberry of Hobart, IN, Roxanne Hermosello (Richard) of Chicago, IL, Rhonda Hatton (Tom Schoenhofen), Tracy Venne of Appleton, WI, Annie Idaker (Will) of Alamosa, CO, Christine Miller (Carl) of Fort Worth, TX and Stephanie Stiefbold of Oswego, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Hugh Burton, Terry Burton, Jeff Burton (Nancy Hagen) and Lisa Lieser (Guy). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
