He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie C. "Buster" Ernsbarger and Cuva "Reta" Ernsbarger (Hawk); and his brother David Ernsbarger. He is survived by: his wife Marylyn Nadine McKinley; his children, Greg Ernsbarger (René) of Jefferson City, MO, Brent Ernsbarger (Deborah) and Sherri Eador (Paul); his grandchildren, Heather Urban (Erik) of Naperville, IL, Christie Stone (Simon) of Conway, AR, Brenton Ernsbarger (Emily) of Conway, AR, Morgan Ernsbarger of Charleston, SC, Sydney Beachler (Trey) of Owatonna, MN, Dalton Eador (Kaitlyn) of Wichita, KS and Ashton Eador of Kansas City, MO; and his great grandchildren, Maggie Urban, Emmett Urban and Christopher Stone.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ferry Funeral Home (301 S Washington St, Nevada, MO 64772). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (500 S College St, Nevada, MO 64772).

Memorials are suggested in his memory to McGinnis Youth Center or Vernon County 4-H c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
