He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Monroe Sr. and Delores Monroe (Travoto); and his brother Pat Monroe. He is survived by: his children, James Monroe III (Spring) of Nevada, MO, Taler Hillier of Nevada, MO and Melanie Wait (Alma David Wait) of Belton, MO; his brother Chris Monroe; and his grandchildren, Avian Monroe, Maicy Monroe, Liahm Monroe, Tyson Busey, Lennon Wait and Riannan Wait.
