He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen M. Shaver and Lorena Baker Shaver; and his siblings, Allen A., Carl and Roberta.

He is survived by: his children, Mike Shaver of Astoria, Beth Shaver of Nashville, Tennessee, Susan Shaver (Scott Wiederholt) of Atlanta, Georgia and Lisa Shaver of Waco, Texas; his granddaughters, Lydia (Eli Wiederholt) and Amy Shaver; and also Ann.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Roy may be made to the Neosho United Methodist Church or the Neosho R-5 Charitable Foundation in care of Clark's Funeral Home.
