He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Earl and Eileen Whittington (Brewer); and his son Eddie Whittington. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Joann (Cox); his children, Kevin Whittington of Neosho, Kimberly Musgrave (Cecil) of Neosho, Kristie Putnam of Joplin, Shelia Bishop (Bob) of Neosho, Mona McGee of Neosho, Raymond Ethridge (Kelly) of Neosho and Chester Ethridge (Brenda) of Anderson, Missouri; and his siblings, Rayleen Weems of Joplin, Shirley Bilyeu (Don) of Sparta, Lena Young of Joplin, Linda Jones of Joplin, Shelia Robinson (Gene) of Wheaton, Cindy Blankenship (Lloyd) of Neosho and Marvin Whittington of Neosho, Missouri.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories (312 S Wood St, Neosho, MO 64850). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Union Cemetery.
