She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Henry and Effie Thogmartin (Hargrave); her husband Elbert Hicks; and her siblings, Norma Dean Owens, Gearldean Walker, Elva Dean Hopkins, Erma Dean Hill, Naydean Kuhns and Billy Lee Thogmartin.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Hicks (Sherri) and Brad Hicks (Denise); her great grandchild Weston Hicks; and her siblings, Melvin Lee, Tommy Lee, MaryDean Williams and Carol Dean Branham. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
