With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Genevieve Mears of Neosho, Missouri, born in Lead Hill, Arkansas, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Genevieve Mears to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Jelly; her parents, Roy Akins and Stella Akins; and her husband Jack Mears. She is survived by: her children, Jackie Martin (Wes), Greg Mears (Carolina Beach), Derrick Mears (Jodi) and Brad Mears (Kerri); her grandchildren, Kori (Caleb), Adam (Cherie), Bryan (Sarah), Mandy (Sam), Michael (Nicole), Jade (Josh), Conner, Gavin, Callie and Madison; and her great grandchildren, Logan, River, Kason, August, Ari, Atticus, Embry and Mia.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (19883 Jaguar Rd, Neosho, MO 64850).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oak Pointe of Neosho or Gentiva Hospice of Neosho.
