He was predeceased by: his parents, Noble Bruce Callaway and Laveta Callaway (Hughes); and his sister Wanda (late Jack Davidson) of Topeka, KS. He is survived by: his children, Christopher and Dr. Tonya Callaway; his daughter-in-law Diana Callaway; his son Ed Baumgartner of Flower Mound, TX; his grandchildren, Grace and Zachary Callaway; his brother-in-law Noble (Marsha Callaway); his sister Cecil; and his sister-in-law Shirley Cox.

“I am sad to learn of Bruce's passing. We were good friends 1953 - 57 in Richie. Bruce and I went to a revival at the Richie Baptist Church. That was a spiritual experience. I did not join with the Baptist. I don't remember Bruce's reaction. I now live in Utah and traveled to Richie with my son Troy and his family last June 22.
