He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Smith and Mary Smith (Montgomery); his former wife Ruth Smith; his children, Jim Glavin and Margie Stowell; and his grandsons, Mark Stowell and Jay Glavin.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Smith of California, Harry Glavin (Annie) of Granbury and Denise DeForest (Jim) of Stephenville, Texas. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
