He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Engelbrecht; and his daughter Susan Dawn Smith. He is survived by: his son Dale Engelbrecht (Jeanette) of West Plains, Missouri; his son-in-law Jim Smith of Springfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kim Woods (Bennett) of Industry, Illinois and Zack Wheeler (Shelbie) of Alton, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Harper Jo and Branch Haysen Wheeler; his son Logan Watts (Carol Engelbrecht) of Neosho; and also Larry Brunner of Carthage.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newton County Cancer Council in honor of his daughter, Susan Smith, and his companion Janet Greninger.
