He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Cotten and Gertie Matthews Cotten; and his daughter Rita Elaine Cotten. He is survived by: his wife Mary Morelock; his children, Dewain Cotten Jr. (Joe), Jeff Cotten (Alicia), Marvin Cotten (Anne), Dennis Cotten (Glenora), Cindy Bruce and Jennifer Edde (Robert); and his siblings, Shirley Huff, Joan Hooper, Delores Nicholes (Robert), Wanda Dempsy and Leroy Cotten (Bonnie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
