She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Garrett and Beaunia Garrett; her sons, Gary and Ronnie Phelps; her son-in-law Morgan Whittington; and her great grandchild David Franklin.

She is survived by: her daughter Judy Whittington of Poplar Bluff; and her grandchildren, Curtis Phelps (Lynn), Angie Landrum (Dan), Tina Dugas (Alex), Becky Rice (John), Tracy Sheppard, Judy Ogden (Nathan), Phillip Phelps (Crystal), Victoria Phelps, David Phelps and Ronnie Phelps. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.
