He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Mitchell and Frances Bell Williams; his wife Janet Sue Mitchell; and his brothers, Robert Mitchell (Sonny) and Joseph Mitchell.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Jacky Mize (Diane) of Florissant and Timothy Mize of East Alton, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Michael Mize, Lucas Mize, Amanda Brown, Melissa Holland and Kyle Mitchell; and his sister Bonnie Lloyd of Arnold. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
