He was predeceased by: his parents, Finis E. Sorrell and Lillie Emma Sorrell (Risner); his wife Mary Lou Boyd; and his children, Mary Catherine Sorrell and Finis Boyd Sorrell.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Sorrell (Tammy) of Gatewood, Missouri and Stacee Peters (Dave) of West Plains, Missouri; his sister Mable Jo Gardner of Springfield, Missouri; and his brother-in-law George Boyd (Mary Lou) of Doniphan, Missouri. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter.
