It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Quenton Collins of Mountain View, Missouri, who passed away on October 7, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Collins and Margaret Ann Collins (Sisney); his wife Thelma Mae Lewis; his children, Charles and Beverly; his siblings, Loyd, Marvin, Burl, Junior, Melvin James, Gladys Haynes and Lucillia of Virginia; his son-in-law Glenn Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Ola Collins, Zella Collins, Ruby Rishell, Lena Anderson, George Haynes, Lee Gregory, Burt Shockey, Lloyd Alcorn, Eddie Rishell, Neal Anderson and Willard Barnett.
He is survived by: his children, Duke Collins of Mountain View, MO, Jenett Haynes (Bobby) of Mountain View, MO, Kathey "Sue" Thompson of Mountain View, MO and Debra "Dee" Dooley (Brian) of Mountain View, MO; his sisters, Marie Alcorn of Mountain View, MO, Bonnie Stevenson (Wendell) of Wheatland, MO and Janice Gregory of Mansfield, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Lizzy Barnett and Betty Collins. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
