He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Abbott and Carrie Abbott (Farris); his sons, Mikeal and Terry; his brothers, Max, Don, David and Jackie; and his grandson Mathew.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Sarah Saffell; his son Dennis; his grandchildren, Clarissa, Jennifer, Kayla, Sheila, Robert and Michelle; and his sisters, Hazel Baughn and Leona Freeze. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
