He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kaye Smith; his children, Candi Counts and Michael Bales (Amanda Reese); his daughter-in-law Dolores Bales; his son Micky Bales (Brenda); his grandchildren, Logan, Coral, Jessmyn, Justice, Jacelyn, Malonnie, Miranda, Abbigail, Eli, Julie and Ashton; his great grandchildren, Layne, Ryker, Crimson and Harlow; and his siblings, Tracy Bales of Mountain View, MO, Shirley Beard of Birch and Joyce Snell of Lufkin, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
