He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Freels and Ida Freels (Gilley); his wife Bonnie Lawson; his daughter Barbara Adams; his sons-in-law, Junior Boykin and Dave Adams; his grandson Jeremy Adams; and his siblings, Russell Freels and Hazel Freels.
He is survived by: his daughters, Celah Boykin of Mountain Grove and Linda Loughridge (Dale); and his grandchildren, Daniel Boykin (Becky) of Mountain Grove, Darian Boykin (Gina) of Mountain Grove, Kenny Loughridge (Sarah) of Mountain Grove, Cheryl Richardson (Rick) of Marshfield, Jeff Adams (Phoebe) of Oskaloosa and Amanda Dale (Adam) of Mountain Grove. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives, church family, and friends.
