With solemn reverence, we commemorate Johnny Baker of Mountain Grove, Missouri, born in Bastrop, Louisiana, whose life came to an end on February 16, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Preston and Marguerite Baker (Laing); his son Donald Wayne Baker; and his siblings, Alfred Baker and Shirley Baker-Anders.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Baker; his daughter Marilyn Coffman (Doyle); his grandchildren, Lance Coffman (Sara), Kori Smith (Jared), Erin Smart, Kevin Coffman (Michelle), Micah Taylor (Charlene) and Grant Coffman (Emily); his great grandchildren, Les, Leo, Isaac, Jonah, Levi, Grace, Philip, Nathaniel, Allison, Elizabeth, Makenzie, Gabriel, Santiago, Xavier, Autumn, Taz, Ulysses, Oscar and Eliot; and his sisters, Elaine Francis-Alexander and Nadine Houston (Doug). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home - Mountain Grove (315 N Main St, Mountain Grove, MO 65711). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Willow Springs Cemetery. A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the Baker family has requested donations be made for Gideon Bibles or Fire Bibles c/o the funeral home in memory of Johnny.
