He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Hurst and Dorthy Hurst (Bunch); his wife Bonnie Hurst; his daughter Rhonda Jo Goss; his children-in-law, Steve Sartor and Paula Hurst; his great grandchildren, Graham and Cooper; and his sisters, Oneal Luellen, Agnes Williams and Ann Collins.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Hurst, Jr. of Success, Bradley Lynn Hurst (Dawn) of Mountain Grove, Brenda Kay Gibson (Troy) of Vilonia and Cheryl Ann Sartor of Mountain Grove; his grandchildren, Tammi, Gilbert, Karina, Matthew, Gina, Robin, Billy, Hunter, Nevaeh, Preston, Joey, Candace, Jamie, Carrie and Caitie; his sisters, Ella May Daugherty of Drury and Bertha Scherer (Dean) of Drury; his brother-in-law Bob Leach (Ethel) of Norwood; and his grandchildren, Jaylee, Owley and Kason. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
