He is survived by: his former wife Joyce Fish; his wife Patsy Lakey (Dobbs); his children, Michael Lakey (Kelly), Jillanea Lakey (Brian) and Joe Barnes (Sandy); his brother Clell (Shirley); and his grandchildren, Jaleysa, Peyton, Easton, Brittany, Cade, Jayla of Josey, AJ, Hali, Jonie, Chase, Cyrus, Asher, Stetson, Gunner, Lilly, Cody, Brookelyn, Watson, Wyatt, Phoebe, Imber, Kylan, Keenan, Hunter and Whitney. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
