He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Nickell and Elizabeth Nickell (Bolling); his siblings, Robert Nickell, Clara Butler and Shirley Baker; and his children, Millie Admire, Clifford Nickell Jr., Brenda Nickell and Debra Nickell.
He is survived by: his wife Verla Nickell; his stepdaughters, Malisha Menefee of Vanzant and Wendy Davis of Springfield; and his brothers, Donald Eugene Nickell of Kirksville, James Nickell of Milan and Richard Nickell of Kirksville. He is also survived by six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
