Berniece VanFosson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Berniece VanFosson of Mountain Grove, Missouri, who passed away on May 26, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Swofford and Hattie Swofford (Bonham); her husband Leland VanFosson; her siblings, Pauline Plummer (Bill), Darrel Swofford (Wila Dean), Dewey Swofford (Yvonne) and George Swofford; and her brothers-in-law, Laurel Charles Peterson (Chuck), Darrell VanFosson and Donald VanFosson (Ruth).
She is survived by: her children, Brian VanFosson (Elaine) of Springfield and Kathy Coughlin (Bob) of Lee's Summit; her grandchildren, Elizabeth VanFosson and Ryan Coughlin; her aunt Bettie Heatherly; her sisters, Lanora Sanders, Wanda Smith (Jack) and Melvadean Peterson; and her sister-in-law Willie Swofford. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Cancer Hospital or donor's choice.
