He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Skaggs and Zina Skaggs (Curtner); his wife Lola Marie Middleton; and his siblings, Viola Hensley, Iva Sowersby, Mary Letterman, Bertha Hutsell, Dorothy Skaggs and Ira Skaggs.
He is survived by: his daughter Phylis Jean Cobb (Denny) of Mountain Grove; his grandchildren, Jodi Lyman (Sean) of Springfield and Derrick Sherrell of Mountain Grove; and his stepgranddaughters, Lindsay McCormick (Bryan) of Danville and Terah Pfeffer (Robert) of Avon. He is also survived by five step-great-grandchildren, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home - Mountain Grove (315 N Main St, Mountain Grove, MO 65711). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Temple Church (9241 Wheeler Arch Rd, Mountain Grove, MO 65711). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at the Hillcrest Cemetery North Main.
