He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Swinney and Norvel Swinney (Hendrickson); and his siblings, Becky, Linda Swinney and Norman Swinney.
He is survived by: his wife Verla Dean Mieswinkel; his daughter Becky Blevins (Tony) of La Russell; his grandchildren, Taylor Blevins (Allison) of Dayton, Tristan Williams (Casey) of Centerton, Christian Wooldridge (Morgan) of Monett, Sarah Lokovich (Aaron) of Nixa, Luke Blevins of Independence, Abby Rivas (Santi) of Republic and Ariah Blevins of Republic, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Mac, Lainey, Penn Blevins, Auryah, Jaxxon, Tenslee, Raylee, Wrenlee Williams, Charley Wooldridge, Archer Barnett, Evie Lokovich and Rowan Richardson; and his brother Stephen Douglas Swinney of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (703 S Hickory St, Mt Vernon, MO 65712). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon Ioof Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the First Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.
