We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2024, at the age of 76, Tommy Ray Wilks of Mount Vernon, Missouri, born in Verona, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Edwin Wilks and Stella Ruth Wilks (Harvey); his wife Carolyn Jo Buffington; and his siblings, Jim, Donnie and Lou.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy Wilks, Jr. (Alexis Ponce) of Los Angeles and Wendy Jo Lacey of Mt. Vernon; his grandchildren, Skyler Lacey (April) of Mt. Vernon, Ryan Lacey (Ashlea) of Republic, Kenzy Mikell (Chris) of Mt. Vernon and Madison Smith (Tim) of Rogersville; his great grandchildren, Lyla, Braylon, Cam of Mt. Vernon and Kenna of Republic; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Snook of Aurora. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
