It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steven Mark Powell (Mount Vernon, Missouri), who passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Powell and Mildred Powell; his grandparents, Leonard, Pearl Seneker, Luther and Ethel Powell; and his son Bradley Powell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Forsyth and Christin Baird; his grandchildren, Payton Marlin, Caden, Emry Barnett and Aubrey Forsyth; and his sisters, Charlotte Howard and Linda Law. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and many extended family.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home- Mt. Vernon (510 E Cherry St, Mt Vernon, MO 65712). A burial was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery N. McCanse (232 N McCanse St, Mt Vernon, MO 65712).
