Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Linda Jean Garoutte of Mount Vernon, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 76, on February 21, 2025. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Linda Jean leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Garoutte; her daughters, Sandy Maddocks of Monett, Missouri, Tracy Day (Randy) of Mt. Vernon and Deanna Norris of Portland, Oregon; and her siblings, Ronnie Bartley of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Sherry Jones (Dale) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home- Mt. Vernon (510 E Cherry St, Mt Vernon, MO 65712). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon Ioof Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, to help defray the funeral expenses.
