It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Dwaine Hampton of Mount Vernon, Missouri, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Hampton and Donald Hampton; and his brother Donnie Hampton. He is survived by: his children, Ryan Hampton, Jessica Riott and Amanda Solak (Michael Solak); his grandchildren, Samuel Solak, William Solak, Isabella Solak and MacKenzie Solak; and his siblings, Connie Minton, Gary Hampton, Melinda McGregor and Danny Hampton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Lakin Funeral Home (501 N Elm St, Pierce City, MO 65723). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made, in Dwaine's honor, to Amanda Solak for a foundation to be set up soon (Hillbilly Hotrodz Foundation).
