She was predeceased by : her parents, Larry H. Sorg and Thelma Sorg (Rountree); her husband James R. Hammond; and her brother Harry Sorg, Jr.. She is survived by : her son Jimmie Hammond (Berthina Wellington); and her stepgranddaughter Aubrey Vogel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lakin Funeral Home (501 N Elm St, Pierce City, MO 65723). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
