It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guillermo Jim Leyba of Mount Vernon, Missouri, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Maria Hernan; and his brothers, Mack Wayne and Larry McKinney. He is survived by: his wife Anita Essary of Mt. Vernon; his children, Tony Leyba (Maggie Tighe) of Pahrump, Mark Leyba (Liz) of Phoenix, Kenny Leyba (Mia) of Wichita, John Leyba (Charlene) of Dahlonega, Georgia and Kathy Cook (Scott) of Goose Creek; and his siblings, Charles McKinney (Rhonda) of Hurst, Texas, Liz Hartzel (Charlie) of Dallas, Lucy Grimes (Ernie) of Pryor and Maxine Jenson (Mike) of Westminster, Colorado. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
